The farmhouse is in Ghasri (us-ree), which is the smallest village in Gozo. It is delightfully quiet with a population of only 850 people. It is subserved by a supermarket which is open 7 days a week.

The village is dominated by the lighthouse on Giordan hill. It was inaugurated in 1853 and rises 180 metres above sea level. Its beam is visible from a distance of 50 kilometres.

The parish church, dedicated to Corpus Christi, was designed by Dun Guzepp Diacono and was constructed early in the twentieth century. Its foundation stone was laid on 6 September 1903.

Ghasri was established a parish by Bishop Giovanni Marija Camilleri on 16 December 1921.
